I would love a way to flexibly view and move around lots of PDFs at different scales, to simulate piles on a desk or the floor. For some purposes, something is lost by constraining organization to a regular grid or table.

The speed is pretty much irrelevant right now All they need to do is support external RAM so they can make a machine with up to 128 or 256gb of memory. It's easy enough, but for their reasons they have just chosen not to do it yet.

50 or 100 sites, each with say a few dozen liquid handling robots. Let’s say each site runs 200 plates per day.. doesn’t seem unreasonable. The only hard parts are the funding and regulatory requirements.
