To counter all the neutral to negative feedback, I want to chime in and say I was very impressed. The execution speed with the aesthetics excite me. The gazillon-terminal-window- opens junkie in me always looking for a better terminal emula

There were no other solutions for this functionality when I searched in beginning of 2011. XMPP is great, but IRC is ubiquitous. IRC is also very easy to implement plugins against. The central authority of Dave is by design. You are correct
