Yet the solution Bitcoin supporters have to slow transactions etc. is Lightning network which in principle makes transactions centralized.

Startup time can be fixed by running Emacs as a daemon on boot. (Not sure if that's possible with Windows) For keybindings you can just use evil and get vim keybindings. But yeah, Emacs is not easy to get started with, though I feel it

Yup. Most VPNs with decent bandwith cost $4/month. You can get pretty much the same service for $4/year if you buy a cheap NAT VPS server and spend 10 minutes setting up openvpn.

Tried it. Very uncomfortable navigation. Installed a couple of plugins (evil is one of them) and Emacs mostly do the same stuff as my nvim right now, except for being superior for Clojure development.
