As much as I would love for this to be real, this feels a bit too “sci-fi” and romance to be real. If it is, I would be happy a shocked, but this feels like it was written by someone trying to pretend to be a computer writing about itself,

It’s definitely possible that you couldn’t reach the speeds that they are with any kind of traditional heater cartridge. You need a lot of power directly on the filament to melt is at quickly as they are.

I would imagine they would need some kind of breakaway factor that allows the agent to decide that, despite the unpredictability, what its trying to explore might not be worth the reward, or that there is no reward behind it.
