No. They have a rear-facing camera that shows the interior of the car and then they have one that is located above the license plate.

I own a BMW i3 and the Tesla Model 3. Both have cellular connections and are constantly pinging their motherships. At least on the Tesla I have the option of opting out. No such ability is available on the BMW.

This is exactly what I did. I have an IoT VLAN and I also limit the ports accessible to those devices. I just wish this setup was available to the average consumer that doesn't know how to do this.
