Great question. I'd love to know if anyone has had any success with handheld buttons/bluetooth remotes or similar, too.

I’m sure that structural engineers will be heavily involved. While there are some things to consider or worry about, I don’t know that any of your concerns are actually valid things to be overly worried about. They’re certainly all solvabl

I've done a lot of work on realtime obstacle avoidance that scales well (targeting ~60-100k agents) -- steering behaviors, flow fields, RVO2/ORCA, and lots more -- for agent-based "old school" tycoon-style simulation g

Love it. SimAirport makes extensive use of flow fields -- they're one of the numerous different pathfinding/following systems we use in the game -- but a very important one as they obviously can scale extremely well with agent co

Somewhat tangential, but here's a cool somewhat open-source project related to Dolby Atmos: https://cavern.sbence.hu/cavern/ https://github.com/VoidXH/Cavern The visualizer, which is what I

Glad to see Don Hopkins mentioned, I came to this thread hoping he had seen it & commented already. I'm curious to hear his thoughts on it! I know he loves radial menus, understandably so -- they really can be quite effective.

One of the more common approaches to AI in games is called GOAP [0][1] (Goal Oriented Action Planning), and it essentially "selects" which action set using the same concept -- graph searching (typically using A*) the available opt

I have to ask, sincerely -- how many hours does one put into a game that does have a good "end game"? As a game developer myself, when someone asks me what it's like to make games during a casual conversation, one of my fav

We have e-notaries in Nevada. It requires a webcam/ability to make a video call, and to show your ID in a solid resolution. It's actually probably not the worst thing. I'm sure it happens, and I know the bar for becoming a

The Levoit, and basically all 'consumer' purifiers, are extremely under-powered and generally have very low air clearance rates & CFM. Usually relatively/overly expensive filters, too. To get a remotely apples-to-apple

The quickest way to build one, IMO, is using a hot glue gun. It takes quite a bit of hot glue to get it nicely sealed (maybe 10 sticks or so), but it's a LOT faster than using tape & it's more forgiving - you just "caulk

The link shows ~ < 50% of Apple's liabilities are current; assuming revenue dropped overnight to $0, I doubt they'd need to liquidate any assets, likely for multiple years. It's an unrealistic & impractical scenario
