If other countries feel that way, they should probably ban Instagram. In my opinion, the difference is that insta (Meta) controls US government more than the government controls insta. I don't believe that's the case with tik tok

To elaborate on the other comment, the ideal gas law isn't applicable when you can add or remove energy/mass to the system. There's no reason you can't pack a refrigerator sized chamber with enough air to be high pressur

I worked on the epitaxy for vcsels that go into iphones for the facial recognition. Not that impactful but cool to know that the stuff I worked on is in use all around me.

It would need to last 3 times longer before needing a single replacement part for the cost to lifetime ratio to even out. Each replacement part in that timeframe pushes the value time out further. I'm not convinced it would be cheaper

It's not hard for anyone to understand. If you're worried that the OS is hijacking your camera, why would you stop being worried just because you're using the camera.
