You should be able to do a 2gig + 4gig stick combo. That's what I have in my 2008 Macbook pro, it runs 6GB just fine.

While the battery is glued down with adhesive, you can just soak it in some 91-99% isopropyl and that adhesive dissolves quite rapidly and the battery can be pulled right out. I had no issues doing this on my 2016.

IOPS are not throughput at all... throughput can't even be calculated until you factor in the size of the I/O request. You can have 1M IOPS at 5MB/sec if your blocks of data are small enough, like 8k... vs 100k IOPS/sec

That really depends on the density/surface area of the item. I mean, a standard light blub filament burns at like 3000F, but you don't really feel that.

rsync to external USB HDD in my case. I cycle two 8TB externals between my home and safe deposit box for offsite storage. I swap them and then do a fresh rsync of all my jails/etc.
