Excuse me if this is a bit forward but who asked? In other words, why do hn commenters go off on tangents to the extent that in some posts you'll find more irrelevant tangents than discussion of the article in the link?

> But you don't have to take my word for it. Please, continue to believe that spaceships from other planets have crashed and some elite division within the US government managed to retrieve them and keep it secret for 50+ years. Loo

This does not track for me at all. I'm sorry but why would anybody in the DOD have an incentive to "make Americans believe in US military and intelligence superiority"?

- The dark line is on the lane going south. - Google shows the same areas as road blocks, not traffic. - This is no where near the Moscow suburbs, as the map clearly shows. Atrocious tweet.

Obviously true. Traveling while black alone in Sachsen Regionalbahn is a risk.

That's a mockery of real authoritarian countries, where you most definitely wouldn't have the checks and balances of a court that finds a law enforcement agency misused data and with a free press to publicize that fact.

I've never seen those apps on my machine, very strange. Is this an OEM choice?

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren don't factor in, we'll be close to carbon neutral by then anyway.

> So you shouldn't feel bad for your occasional air travel. I don't understand the implied ethical rule behind this mentality. CO2 emissions are always a problem and to be avoided. What am I missing?

45% of people in Germany don't work. Many with low incomes who do work have access to free or cheap transport tickets as part of social benefits.

What do you mean it's not an option? I already ordered the ticket as a chip card here in Berlin.

Wow. So "the majority of security issues are patched immediately and silently through the play store" seems catastrophically incorrect.

I expect manufacturers not to offer bad options like a 150 € phone with 3 years of updates. Give me a 200€ phone with 5 years? Or a 10€ service fee per year of updates.

Psychosis, schizophrenia and suicidality are not about "sitting around talking about your feelings". What an insane take.

I'm confused. What "same thing" did everyone try? The instructions in the help section in the game seemed perfectly clear?

I'm having difficulty understanding your difficulty in understanding. What did you think "right to left, top to bottom" meant?

So you're claiming GMO is bad for your health? Wow. And preservatives? Can you point out the preservatives in the ingredient list? I can't see any. Except maybe salt... Really not convinced at all.

Do you have anything at all to back up the claim that modified proteins and fats as found in fake meat products are unhealthy? I can't find anything. This seems like superstition.
26.

That's a misunderstanding. Fake meat products don't contain "a ton of additives".

The blog post clearly states what the link to climate activism is according to the blog author. The conflict of interest of the meta study authors and suspected opposition to gas stoves on climate grounds by the regulator is clearly stated.
