How was this measured? Because with the new layout then it’s incredibly easy to accidentally exit a thread (without leaving the site) and you have various dark patterns to force users to sign-up. For instance, whenever I open a reddit link

That’s my biggest gripe as well. When opening a reddit thread from google I have to replace ‘www’ with ‘old’ in order to see all the comments, it’s truly absurd. The only explanation I can think of for this behavior is sheer incompetence.
