You would also have to suspend payments for food, paying rent, child care, health care, heating, ... The list of potential things that has to be suspended is endlessly large and by picking winners you are potentially creating a moral hazard

Most likely the most legitimate reason is archiving. Streaming services often offer very poor quality for even 3 year old shows that make them look like they are from 10 years ago. Meanwhile shows from the 80s look much better as long as th
