I'm in the same situation. Went down to Latin America where it's cheap to live. Been bootstrapping for a year and closing in on launch. It can be done solo, but you have to be ready to go for broke. It's sad but you are 100%

Actually, the dev has exactly 0 input on how the standup goes. The middle manager sets the true goals and the dev is either in or out of step. Whether anyone else in the meeting gets anything out of it is strictly a side effect, and not rel

I'm sorry, stand ups are literally a psychological trick played by middle managers to put pressure on devs. They undoubtably lead to higher turnover from devs fleeing chickenshit and I've never seen one actually lead to better cod

For sure this will burn you at work eventually if you use it. That said, if you need this, maybe you need to actually brush up your CV and find a job that doesn't destroy your productivity with meetings :)
