I think that dude lives in a van somewhere in UK so everything is powered through some powerbank in the van. Plus having several different hardwares that all has to occupy less space as possible.

I haven’t used myself but in Linux there is also zenity https://linux.die.net/man/1/zenity I have seen scripts that use it for a quick GUI. I really dislike using Powershell as a shell, but it looks like on Window

I like the Trofast system for making stuff for storing kids toys and organizing their rooms. Honestly there is a lot to love and customize about their offerings for kids and luckily the good stuff also gets picked up by other manufacturers&
