Yeah, but you didnt need one to read public information until this morning. Mostly from business pages. Even now, you can use any valid access token to read this public data and you dont have to get the page/profile to authorize it.

Yeah, you are right. But i meant to say that firefox could have made firebug as its own developer tool and continue to make it better instead of building their own.

Not sure why Firefox chose to build their own developer tool when firebug was one of the compelling reason to use firefox and started the trend of having an extensive tool for debugging/inspecting webpages.

Chrome dev tools lacks in the DOM view of firebug. Firebug makes it easy to search and identify all the DOM objects.

How does it differ from PhantomJS/CasperJS (headless webkit)? I have been using these for a while and they can do pretty much everything that you can do in a browser.
