I just tried out the colour scheme from the gitimmersion.com tutorial. Pastel green on very dark grey works well for me.

There was a discussion on Stack Overflow about the health benefits of dark vs. light backgrounds. Apparently black on white is best: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/498698/white-light-vs-bla...

I'm not against analytics or facebook in general. It's just that this company and this article in particular gives me the impression, that they dont give two shits about privacy and just do it because the last few times they tried to cross

Yeah, great example of how facebook does not understand privacy. Why should I care if its anonymous or not, I dont want them to be even able to find out that kind of stuff about me!? It's like they dont even understand how far reaching this

"...and its great that Google used this opportunity to illustrate the importance of search privacy to one of the world's largest audiences." I do not agree with this. I don't think that Google wanted to show us this, it rather is a negative

Thats what I thought as well. I dont really get why they coloured them. The destroyer with the stripes seems to be quite camouflaged in black and white, it disrupts its shape. I understand that camouflage colours wouldn't work all the time,

I agree, I really like the idea but the 2D ones seem a bit forced to me - not that aesthetic. The 3D ones on the other hand are beautiful and have a much more natural feel.

I'm not really sure if he really wants one or just makes fun of the hype. Apple gave him one, so they think he really wants one or they dont care.

To play hacked games, like on the xbox 360. Wondering if you'll have to copy the downloaded game onto a blue-ray or if its enough to copy it onto the harddrive. Not shure anyway if I'll hack mine, apparently a lot of people ran into a lot o

The article misses an important point: Google simply didn't make any money or not as much as they expected from China. They got harassed constantly and its Chinese competitors received a lot of preferential treatment from the government (e.

"...to win share against Linux and OpenOffice.org...". Looks like somebody is scared. I like that very much :D But seriously, who would take that job? Somebody who understands a lot about Linux but then decides to "fight" against it?

He's making a good point and I believe that protection against harassment on the internet should be better. On the other hand I think the huge amount of crap people post is a inevitable side effect of the ease of communication the internet

He's in the fortunate position of being able to increase his job-market value, while actually working. If you really want to change your job, you might have to quit and start again from scratch - whether you are nervous or not.

For me its another example for how the term "hacker" is being wrongly generalized and how easy its to claim to be one.

For me this move makes sense. I'always saw Shuttleworth as the head of the Ubuntu Community and not as the CEO of a company. I'really believe that doing what he will be doing in the future suits him better.
