You can setup a dev account in salesforce.com and make some customization to contact, account objects with custom fields, etc. This will give you some ideas on how to architect your system for easy customization.

I agree with this. And sorry for the rant. I keep getting emails about expiring domains and auto-renewals. I maintain a separate spread-sheet to keep track of these. For some reason it not only annoys me but it always make my blood pressure

Wish there was a foursquare for news papers? I was a long time free subscriber of nytimes.com but now after the pay wall I switched to wsj.com because it clearly states the articles that are locked (removes guessing).
