My guess as to what's new here is... nothing. I'm thinking they will change the containers preference to default to on, and if the extension enabled the preference before maybe that's being removed. Otherwise the containers

My understanding is that the slowness comes from program code being removed from memory to free up space, forcing the system to constantly re-read it from disk. I still get the slowness without swap.

Something like uMatrix can be used by the client, and Content Security Policy combined with Subresource Integrity can be used by the publisher.
