I had the same issue specifically with git, for the same reason. You can configure git to not use a pager by setting core.pager to an empty string.

After experiencing Nintype on iOS many years ago, I can't use any other swipe keyboard anymore. I'm stuck using the stock keyboard for typing, and sometimes (rarely) swiping a word or two when I din't have two hands available

Unrelated to the main point, and probably too late to matter, but you can access repo activity logs via Github's API. I had to clean up a bad push before and was able to find the old commit hash in the logs, then reset the branch to th

Sadly, it hasn't been updated since 2024 and is slowly breaking. Haven't found a good replacement yet.

For anyone else copy pasting the gradients into dev tools to look at them: The second one is missing the # sign on the first color. And yes, both oklch gradients look pretty weird while the oklab gradient looks nice (if you can accept it go

Cool setup, but the choice of Obsidian is kind of weird in this context (in an interesting way, see next paragraph). Instead of opening a subfolder of the Hugo project in Obsidian, one could just open the entire thing in VSCode or a similar

That might be because Kagi currently has "only" 43,508 members, according to their live stats. That number might be too low for you to be able to expect someone in your personal circle to already be using and talking about it. The

By only doing clones to get data from Github, you're losing anything stored in LFS. Run `git lfs fetch --all` inside each repo after cloning to make sure you have the large files, too.

What's creeping me out is that there's zero mention of how the nano-texture display affects pencil use. The nano-texture on the standalone display Apple offered a while back was very fragile (if I remember correctly)... I would im

In addition to the already mentioned Command Palette, macro expansion is also available as a quick fix, either by clicking the light bulb icon when it appears, or triggering it via hotkey (Ctrl+. by default).

I forgot what people were calling it but this is almost exactly the same idea as that trend where you ask ChatGPT to generate pictures, continuously asking for "more" of some aspect of the picture (make this dish more spicy, etc),

To me, pausing to reflect is less of a problem compared to getting distracted and losing my place or having to read the same paragraph over and over again. Back when I had a 40+ minute train commute (and was working in the office all week,

Same here. I get irritated when I see people put down their phone without locking it, only to realize theirs will auto-lock. That said, from now on I'll probably have auto-lock turned on when flying.

How does Obsidian's text editing experience compare to VSCode? I'm using VSC for everything at the moment, which includes a workspace roughly structured into GTD categories via subfolders, filled with markdown documents. The only

I just placed digits in the middle of the words instead of replacing them. This way I didn't "break" any overlapping words, and the order of digits is still the same.

I know this is getting off-topic, but as a non-native speaker, I'm interested in hearing how a third data point would be needed to judge whether things differ "by an order of magnitude". I was under the impression that "

Nintype has ruined all other swipe keyboards for me. Why nobody else has picked up on the idea of twohanded swiping the way Nintype did it is a mystery. Even now, 5+ years after last using it, I find myself wanting to type the way Nintype w
