The problem is not building a plattform, the problem is marketing one ($$$). You can't make money on a plattform without users willing to pay.

Great success. Though my guess is all the people who applauded 37signals for their product strategy, will now again applaud 37signals. And there will be a book "The One Product Company".

I understood it as during the washing cycle power demands fluctuate, peak, and there is not enough power for that. Like memory, your process starts, has a memory peak after 15min and you get an out of memory error. Does not run through.

When in Tokyo lately I've used OSM and found it suprisingly good. What I did miss compared to the Google Maps app is the direction the device is pointing towards. Routing would also be nice :-)

If you display 4 digits to the user for CC validation, as basically everyone does, then there will always be someone who can read those 4 digits and give them to someone else.

Craziest to me is The Bug by Ellen Ullman. Personal craziest was an Oracle performance problem on Windows NT in the 90s. Slow as hell. Going to the server, logging in, checking everything: Blazing fast. Back at the desk, slow as hell. Probl
