Wasn't Stockfish crippled in that set of games? Such as no opening book, which would give a computer like AlphaZero an initial advantage? And a relatively weak CPU setup, compared to the massive computer AlphaZero used?

My Verizon Galaxy S7 performance tanked a few months ago all at once, coinciding with some update. I've found that if I run it in airplane mode then the perf is OK.

Does Microsoft hardware have a decent trackpad, unlike all other PC laptops? My MacBook trackpad is great and I'm baffled as to why PCs can't replicate it.

Edge may well be faster in some cases but now way is it safer. It takes Microsoft weeks or months to fix bugs that Firefox and Chrome fix in days, or even hours.

Hardly anything ever had good support on Linux. Linux has its strengths, but Windows is a far better platform for graphics-related development.

There's a reason why templates work like this. If they didn't work like this then template specializations that you write can break somebody else's code which is dependent on the template behaving a certain way.

I found years ago that (at least with older versions) VC++ implemented templates essentially as internally generated macros. All the non-standard behaviour they had could be explainined by considering how they would act if they were macros.

It certainly is an OS bug. The OS is modifying your memory behind your back after it has given it to you. That can break any application, managed or otherwise.
