This exactly. My rsync patterns file is littered with dozens of edge cases to capture the configs and ignore state/caches of stuff that doesn't follow XDG. Really dislike the chore of double checking everything and adding new stuf

Indeed. I have been slowly but surely completing a11y info in my area for a while. It seems never ending, but it's a good excuse to go take some long walks outside. Hopefully the data is useful to someone in need too :)

Agreed, I find Slint really interesting. To me, the biggest pain point is the very limited theming support. It's virtually impossible to make a custom theme without re-implementing most widget logic, which is a shame.

+1 for go-away. It's a bit more involved to configure, but worth the effort imo. It can be considerably more transparent to the user, triggering the nuclear PoW check less often, while being just as effective, in my experience.

I run a service under the protection of go-away[0], which is similar to Anubis, and can attest it works very well, still. Went from constant outages due to ridiculous volumes of requests to good load times for real users and no bad crawlers
