It's honestly impressive to lose 67 percent by betting on AI in this market. How did he even manage that. Wunderkind indeed.

The fact MySpace "accidentally" deleted all their pictures a few years ago is such a loss to internet history. Try looking for images for any music artist that was around during peak MySpace but not now.

I wouldn't go so far as efforts, so much as legally required publication of 3rd party code they use, or open wrappers to their proprietary libraries

This is interesting to see and shows the beauty of open source: if you want GTK2 to be alive, you can put in the effort to revive it. This being Devuan it is driven by those pesky Debian devs removing GTK2 > Debian is not the only distro

Hard to tell if this is so hard to read because it is LLM generated, or because its is hollow "thought leadership" with no insight. Unsure if there is no astroturfing rule for HN, but this is pretty blatant.

Oracle were 40B in profit in 2024. Now they are out raising debt (again) and equity too, to fund DCs and hardware with no proven return. I cannot comprehend it.

I saw a comment in a "I moved from Windows to Linux" thread implying Windows has more configuration potential than Linux. I wonder what that commenter would make of Gentoo. I wish I had more time I could dedicate to maintaining my
