   Nope, I not confused. Im CLT employed and you're right about FGTS.. But I don't have any benefits where I work, and the local employers don't get much better than this. A 'nice' salary in my town would get me somewhere around 21k dollars ye

   Here in Brazil, I get paid approximately 11k brazillian reais.. Translating to U.S. dollars that would be 7k. These numbers are really impressive to me.

   Another brazilian CS undergrad here. Sadly, I can vouch for what olh said.. In some worst cases, teachers at public universities decide not to show up at classes.
