Would it make any difference? Fujitsu wrote software so buggy that innocent people got fined and put in prison. They still get contracts even today.

Back in the day, adverts used to be obviously just adverts. Nowadays it's very difficult to determine what actually is an advert/influencer, or someone with some genuine facts.

Before AI, the way people were gaming Google was by filling their pages with pages of verbose fluff (have you ever tried googling how to make a specific cocktail?). Now the AI just makes it easier to generate that fluff.
