I would have liked to have seen how the Windows Phone marketplace stacked up against the other two, and how much better (or worse) it is in those categories.

I think all of the gripes in this article are based around the Metro UI, which was designed to be touch-friendly at its core. Pretty much every single point in this article becomes moot if you actually use the standard Windows desktop.

What part of Impress.js doesn't work? Don't look at the demo slideshow they give you, create your own. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work.

I'm going to be honest here for a moment. I agreed with everything you said, but the disorganized, grammatically-incorrect manner in which you delivered it made it harder to read and understand. Slang writing doesn't get a point across as

So basically... it's like the Windows 7 start menu search functionality, put into applications. It's not a terrible idea, but it should extend the current menu-based UI, not replace it.
