Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm not wealthy by any means, so income is definitely going to be an issue. But I don't have very many expenses or responsibilities (yet), so it's not too difficult to live cheaply on 20-30k a year.

Well, yeah, I'd like to get out there ASAP. But there is nothing out there like my idea, and more importantly, it's not a new problem. So I don't think an extra 6 months will kill me - if it were that hot, someone would have done it already

That is a possibility. But the idea is more to go wherever you want and run a startup simultaneously - being able to manage it anywhere that has an Internet connection.
