There were suggestions that they went this way as the intel suggested Apple might release one soon with a similar form factor.

LOL, I wondered why their EU store had basically no stock and remaining items (which I may have snagged only yesterday!) were listed at firesale prices.

Thank you for the inspiration from your nice and simple real-time API. I made a pass a few years ago on digesting similar GTFS data and you've made me realise how much simpler it could be! :-)

Possibly the point is that an individual can not be as easily tracked by first identifying the bus, however most cars are registered to their owners. Nowadays most buses and public transport are full of CCTV though so same problem really.

It's multiple factors I believe, aside from this one here's some more: - German EV government subsidies were reduced considerably (possibly removed?) in Dec 2023 - Other manufacturers are catching up to Tesla in many areas.

Yes! This is the perfect use case for Photo frames, or even for advertising billboards where there's no need to have humans change the advert.

They are also in the process of releasing the Megane model as EV only model going forward, and the reviews so far are very encouraging. https://www.renault.ie/electric/megane-electric.html
