PHP is also a fairly easy leap from HTML/CSS. With JS or PHP, learn what they're actually for, and then come up with something useful you can create with it. Doing is learning. Reading alone is useless.

Abuse of power? What power? You don't have to use Google+ or Facebook. They're convenient, sure, but you'll do just fine without them. They only have as much power over you as you think they do.

I regularly pay my ISP large amounts of money to treat me with contempt. Somebody I'm not paying can treat me however they like. They have /zero obligation/ to be nice to me after I purchase an "as is" product.

the 2-5 GB caps are for wireless networks, aka 3G. How often do you download HD movies onto your phone? In the very next sentence it mentions 250 GB for desktop connections.

IMO, the absurd part is, how do you bring a 93 year old dead person back to life? How long until we get this technology? Who's to say that there will be a consistent flow of money to keep this person frozen until that time? (it's not cheap)

My definition of hack is something like "Use/modification of a thing to achieve a solution that was not intended by the creator." As such you can hack software, Kinects, Roombas, and IKEA furniture.

This isn't a revelation for most people (or maybe I'm biased, a lot of my friends are pilots), but the second video there is the best demonstration I've seen so far of why this occurs.

Running FF5 on Win7, 2 GB of RAM. I leave it open all day with no issues. 5+ tabs at all times.
