It says almost 500 days for my country. But my country estimates to have 100% vaccinated by summer. Far too pessimistic. It's likely not taking into account any acceleration.

Wired merely reports the research study that says it. And they've linked to it, too. https://medium.com/cybersecurity-for-democracy/far-right-new...

Wasn't arguing. Except for whether we're in a bear or bull market. It's definitely a bull currently.

The bear market was actually closer to 3 years. But that ended a while back. It's now solidly in a bull market. Bitcoin is fantastic. But even fantastic assets can become overvalued. And indeed, this will happen again. There will b

The real estate & bitcoin comparison is apples & oranges. Real estate existed (and still exists) in a world of inflationary government IOUs (read: fiat). People were taking out too many & too large loans. Ofcourse it was going t

Fiat is at the end of its lifespan. People are seeking refuge in bitcoin now. It's deflationary by design, which makes it an excellent store of value. It's value has only been going up for 12 years straight now. No bubble to be se

Hacker News is indeed being overrun by a too large amount of irrational bitcoin FUD. The energy 'argument' is easily debunked. But that's not what this comment is about, so I won't rehash it here. Trying to change people

Bitcoin is at all time high, meaning just about everybody who ever bought bitcoin is currently in profit. There are very few bagholders.

Tell that to the people of Venezuela, of whom the article states that they are flocking to it to save their hides.

As per Satoshi himself, the value of bitcoin increases because people speculate, start using it more, speculate more, start using it more, etc. The reason why it is capable of increasing, is because the number is fixed. Inflation would outs

1. I do not listen to the Dan Held podcast. 2. Like with every solution suggested in the bitcoin ecosystem, LN attracts a lot of FUD. The weakness you observe in LN seems to me like arguing in 1995 we'll never be able to stream movies

I invest hundreds of hours per year studying bitcoin's development, the crypto markets, etc. But you think your opinion somehow weighs more than mine, eh? Ignore Lightning Network's development at your own peril. Increased and dec

I invested my inflationary fiat in deflationary bitcoin. I sit on it while it appreciates. Number go up.

Gold never even moved to medium of exchange. It couldn't. Bitcoin can. And then it can move on to unit of account.

Utter baloney. Lightning Network will deliver. As for BTC vs BCH... the market has spoken: BTC is the one, true bitcoin.

It does if there's demand for it. And there's been growing demand for bitcoin for 12 years and counting. It's deflationary by design. But by all means, stick to your government money. Printer goes brrrrrrrrr.

There is absolutely nothing about bitcoin that sucks. It is exactly what it needs to be: the world's hardest store of value. Every design decision comes with trade offs. All the right trade offs have been made. If you'd reinvent i

Nope. That's what a medium of exchange is for. Bitcoin isn't at that phase yet. For any new money, it goes like this: 1. Store of value. 2. Medium of exchange. 3. Unit of account. In that order. Cumulatively.
