Thats the case for apple chargers. I have seen that macbook chargers fail after about 6 months use because they switched to a plastic that was less toxic. Conveniently the side of the cable that always fails is the one you can't remove

The speed has gotten better recently. It usually sends messages in under 1 second. The UI is still a little laggy when switching tabs but everything is slowly getting more polished and faster.

Potentially. Although in my experience safari works 99% the same as chrome so I'd bet a bunch of devs just assume if it works on chrome it will work on safari.

I'd say the majority of websites were never tested on safari because most small dev places can't afford to buy macbooks just to test one browser.

They could be much cheaper to repair if they used standard parts so repair places didn't have to order in custom pieces that they only use about 1 per year because every fridge has it's own version.

Instagram has a pretty craptastic UI itself. It's a pain in the ass to copy images from the web UI (Have to use the inspector to get the link) and the video player doesn't let you skip ahead or move back.

I heard the cost of EV certs is pretty high so it's much less likely a scammer will buy an EV cert vs just a similar domain and a regular cert.
