If you're happy with the base model, then Apple has a great value/price ratio, but there's nothing below it and any upgrade is really bad value for the money.

I went from 34"(3440x1440) which felt a little bit small to 38"(3840x1600) and it is nearly perfect. I can have my main window in the middle and 2 or 4 smaller windows (logs, chat, youtube, etc) on the side. The only thing I want

Doesn't matter to me if I still have to buy the chunky Pro to get a decent display. The current Air is great as an entry level device, but there is an underserved segment here.

I attend 1-3 meetups a month, the recent changes made it unusable for me. They want $10 a month just to check who will be attending. I don't say they should provide everything for free, but that pricing is ridiculous.

I really appreciate HN's simplicity and functional design. I mis one or two features (like unread messages), but I rather have less than a bloatware.

But you can make a "new service" in code in the same binary communicating through memory. You can then separate it to a separate binary, when the network and serialisation overhead worth it. 80% of the time it will never come.
