There must have been something lost in translaction as the Soctiabank Arena is right beside Union station. Perhaps they were talking about Maple Leaf Gardens? It is a more substantial walk.

No it's not wrong. The EFB replaces the contents of a traditional physical flight bag: binders full of charts, manuals for the plane, Airline documentation etc.
