I like the idea of having a migration progress. I like to extend the idea and would ask for a more ingraned concept of versions and version migration. Basically what flyway does but on DB level. You could ask your DB from any backend if its

Yes and thats not the case for crypto. For crypto you need to choose a cryptocoin, need to understand what a wallet is, best case install a secure wallet from the internet etc. You don't need to know how visa works as long as you know

The complexity of crypto is probably the biggest. The second biggest is the missing need: Most people don't have any advantage of using crypto. They go to work, get a salary, buy/sell things and thats it. If you don't need to

I think i got your point. And i still argue that this 'soul' thing doesn't exist and it doesn't matter. Music becomes popular not because it has a magic soul to it but because it triggers enough people at the right time.

My point was that the interpretation or 'feeling' you get, doesn't has to align with what Miles Davis thought to induce. Therefore it doesn't really matter what Miles Davis was planing to do because if Miles Davis doesn&

I don't think your reason is valid at all. I have bsaically 0 background knowledge of music and still enjoy it. Do you know the story of the writer and his son? He wrote a book and this book was used at his sons school. The son wrote a

The solution: start doing this with others. Seti for AI Research or just invent a solution, you are researchers!

Whats your job as a AI researcher for a small company? When you mentioned prompting, i imagined you using vertex ai or smiliar 'slightly' lower level AI tools, but thats more ML Ops for me than AI research or AI integrator.

Nope. The white dot thingy which was here a week or two weeks ago?! is also nothing someone needs. I don't know how smartphones might transform, but surely not into those shown gadgets.

Browsers are the most aligned virtual machine with support for scripting/programming and visualization. And 'browsing the internet' sounds much different than 'doing nearly everything'

Unfortunate, for professional labor you pay double. But modern houses just plan those in anyway and the battery storage i'm aware of, they are only 10kWh which costs not that much anyway.

Are you talking about the green party in germany or other green party in the USA (i'm not aware of?) or are you talking about 'green people'? Because if you mean the green party, it wasn't them it was the CDU/CSU sh

I believe that IT is the biggest multiplicator we have. The main reason why i get paid well is, that everything i do, i normally not do for one person or a single company.

For me its about IaC, automatisation. Building my app, deploying a container image and building a helm chart is not a lot of work if you have experience and the initial additional work is only happening once. After that, you have your whole

And why did you thought this? With an operator, you get HA setup with switch over etc. basically for free. I would prefer relativly cheap managed db over hosting it myself but its absolutly fine.

Yes and a lot of better technology has this issue. The EV consumes more energy at the beginning, solar panels and wind turbines too. Unfortunate its hard for people to get 'economy of scale' and its super frustrating that we have

I don't need it either. But thats not the point of it anyway? Its about writing code faster and potentially better. Cloud GPUs can also generate unit tests etc. I primarily use it for languages i don't use often enough, nonetheles

We spend that much GPU compute not to just generate random boiler plate code but to create the real code. If it wouldn't be beneficial for writing code, which it is, we wouldn't use it. But yes if we could create better languages

I disagree that, whatever energy those DC needs (additionally) is a waste. I think its critical for our society to put more into R&D of materials and others for more and faster optimization of solar and batteries. Nvidia for example doe

Boilerplate code is code you don't need to write or is cumbersome to write. Like getter/setter in java for all your attributes. I would never consider imports boilerplate code.

Those data centers are easily converted to green energy. Google already is at 90%. The margin and market motivation to do so is high and those few companies have a lot of money. Nonetheless, we talk about an industry / society change;
