Most of them have a rigid wing and can fly and land in full transition flight. I’m sure they’re trying to distance themselves from helicopters as much as possible since they’re loud, expensive etc too

Shameless plug- Check out the Niles Canyon Railway (NCRy.org). It’s a volunteer organization that runs vintage trains (including steam engines) on the original connector route that was completed later in the year to finally connect the bay

I think a really good example of this is the Abraj Al Bait in Saudi Arabia. The complex is absolutely massive, but the large windows on many of the peripheral buildings are deceiving. The entire thing is 2-4x bigger than it appears. It'
