Digital radio just can't compete. Not only are the players generally large and battery hungry, everybody will be expected to buy a new receiver. It's a terrible shame and they might as well just switch to the Internet.

I don't agree. It seems that Israeli archaeology is focused on the premise of being there first, above all else. It doesn't seem that Christians are heavily involved in Israel's archaeological program either.

Intel ME can be used to monitor employees without the OS ever becoming aware of anything. The only way to detect it would be to sniff the network.

I would have thought they'd pull the plug on these new jets they had to fake safety compliance for and keep the older, working models that people will actually fly on. I can't imagine anybody flying on a 737 Max even if the Boeing

It's pretty simple, China doesn't allow western companies access to its markets reciprocally. This isn't controversial or esoteric information. It's a well known fact.

Good bookstores are so rare, Powell's is about the only one worth visiting. Chain bookstores sell so much pulp, garbage, remaindered coffee table books about cats, etc.

Actually the way it usually works is a voting system, where if one component disagrees, and two agree, the majority vote is upheld.

Looked it up finally, I agree. It's why we have steering wheels instead of joysticks (except for the people who have a leg-related disability, they've been driving with joysticks for like 100 years).

This is why I like long-established technologies. You can build most anything with typical POSIX utilities and time-worn libraries. And they will be there for you in 25 years. Who knows where Rust and Go and Node will be in a quarter centur
