The numbers probably aren't accurate for big coastal cities, but when you take all of the States into account, it isn't inconceivable.

But how do you determine what data would be considered relevant? It is possible for incriminating data to hide in plain sight, such as in an image file that looks like a picture of your girlfriend's booty.

Before the iPhone, the smartphone was still a very niche device though. The closest thing to mainstream is the BlackBerry, but it was mostly used for texting and email. There was already a marketplace, but the user experience was horrible.

Are you sure? I originally thought the same thing but Hipmunk simply includes all the taxes and fees in the price they display, so it almost always ends up the same for me when checking out.

Charging for the app will work for the DIY hacker types, but it'll be hard for other services to convince their users to purchase your app.

I don't think in-network calls cost them much of anything. It's the connection charges to a different network that may actually cost them money.

I still prefer to not have spaces in file names. I then don't need to use quotes or escape spaces when typing the file name in the shell.

Looking at Apple's page, it seems like it doesn't only mirror output of apps such as Quicktime, but is able to do desktop mirroring, so you can play videos in VLC and mirror the entire screen.

I know this is fine when everyone is being moral/rational. But what prevents someone from maliciously suing the skating (or something more dangerous, such as skydiving) place for something they weren't really responsible for?

If that is the case, any business that provides any activity that is remotely dangerous would not be able to stay in business without the huge overhead of a powerful legal team backing it. Consider skydiving, watersports, or even karting.
