I have always avoided multiple monitor setups for this reason, however, I don't think the size of my monitor affects things as much as my usage of it. Have you tried using a big monitor but just keeping windows as full-screen? I find

Makes sense. You're managing lots of things (architecture, processes, etc), but you're just not directly managing people .

As another commenter mentioned, the first role is Vision + Leadership, and the second role is more like Support + Mentorship. Personally I would love do the first, and the second one feels more like HR should do. Of course, HR doesn't

That's so cool, I would love to have a less distracting experience while reading the news. It could even be paired with an AI summary service that could summarize Reddit/HN activity, like Huxe does in it's generated podcasts.
