I agree that it is not a store of value, but if we agree on that then I would also ask if you think the current fiat system we have serves the purpose of serving as a store of value. I think it doesn't do this as we have seen the value

I don't know about anyone else here but if I had 40k laying around in Cryptocurrency I would have taken some of that and bought a MacBook pro that didn't have my personal information on it for coding, for a start.
