We need to remember that this process probably started months ago before the hack. Also, remember that Equifax (while not really loved) was not really thought about as being a really bad company.

Welcome to the real world where email is unreliable. Gmail could be replaced with any service or corporation running their own email servers. Stop the spammers and email can be reliable again.

It might be. We use several apps that require Silverlight. I am sure Microsoft will update Silverlight in the future to work differently, but I can't do my work without Silverlight.

If in 2020, all those people are programmers, we are going to have some shitty software! If the people I worked with wrote software, they might fix their own itch and not think about the bigger picture nor the others in the organization.

Yes, it is a false sense of security, but in this case it is static content being served. This should not be used in eCommerce sites.

While I use it, I don't USE it. I have some apps that still use Dropbox for backup/syncing, but otherwise I don't store files in Dropbox.

I am a developer, I haven't dug into how he was processing the audio. I was simply asking a question. I don't use Dropbox so I was simply asking if it was on the roadmap so I could try it in the future.

Sit down with your smaller cities and find out their needs. In many cases they have 1-2 IT staff and don't have time to automate process X.

If you are burnt out from your current job, you need a new job. Maybe find a smaller team where you get more variety in your day. I did this 6 years ago where I went from a job of basically modifying vendor code and creating new reports to

Amazon S3 has a monthly charge. Kind of hard to pay when you are dead and it'd be kind of a dick move to expect your kids and grandkids to pay it.
