I totally agree. I had to choose and chose a macbook air. Love that little machine! Then, when I had saved up enough, I got myself the ipad (13") for reading ttrpg pdfs. The two machines solve totally different problems. I never bother

I'm not totally sold on the idea itself, but... you don't need to get a 100 ton railcar there. Ship empty railcars and fill it with rocks / sand / water or whatever you find at the destination.

I often find myself leaving review comments on pull requests where I was surprised. I'll state as much: This surprised me - I was expecting XYZ at this point. Or I wasn't expecting X to be in charge of Y.

Yes. So much this. I've also always loved combining that with the macro functionality. Except: Yesterday, I used an LLM (4o-mini-high) to do this kind of task instead and i might never go back.

If I remember correctly, RFCs need at least two independent implementations to become standards. I think that would be a good idea for web stuff too. It's a way to make sure the spec isn't just blindly following the implementation
