I typically prefer somewhat deeper and more thought-provoking material, but I enjoyed this book. It’s a light page-turner, written-to-be-turned-into-a-movie type book. Overall, I would recommend it.

For the most part I agree, but we have found that R2 does not handle large files (hundreds of GB or larger) very well. It will often silently fail with nothing being returned, so it’s not possible to handle it gracefully.

If I remember correctly, there was some discussion around R2 acting as a proxy in front of s3. So, if R2 does not yet have the asset, you would automatically pull it in from S3, and from then on R2 would serve it directly. Is that still on

We've been waiting for this since it was announced. We have > 2PB of media heavy data, and transfer a lot via S3 to the internet. This will reduce our monthly S3 charge from tens-of-thousands USD per month, to ~$200.
