Which is why Result and Error types exist. With those you get both the context of the error as well as making it clear that the code you are entering needs error handling to be safe. Much less of an issue than calling code that unexpectedly

Any half-decent VIM user knows that there are no good vim emulators, only ones which do the absolute basics right. That includes vim mode for vscode which last time I used it even lagged when using it.

I recently bought a microwave from Samsung that has one know for time, one for power and a button to set the clock. I do love when appliances are stupidly simple, but I do miss the timer function on my old microwave.

Be very careful with calling any software more than a few hundred lines "almost perfect". The case here is that you have gotten used to the workarounds of macOS, because I'm pretty certain that most people that are not fanboy

The most popular resolution nowadays is still 1366x768, so I would not agree with you there. I have that resolution on my 11" cheomebook and its fine, a 1080p panel would be a big improvement sure but its very far from unusable.

The "Linux only BIOS" also works for Windows though so you can dual boot with it. The reason why they say it doesn't is because they don't want to spend money on officially supporting it and AHCI gives a slight performan

That is the case with many ARM processors. There is a lot of work being made on iGPUs on ARM processors aswell currently such as freedreno, will hopefully be possible to have a good fully open source experience in a few years with arm linux

Totally agree. Also regarding the parent comment, wayland has been tested in production for many years now in lots of embeded systems. If you have a car with a Infotainment system from 2013 or newer running linux it most likely uses wayland
