I would also love to see more transparency around AI behavior guardrails, but I don't expect that will happen anytime soon. Transparency would make it much easier to circumvent guardrails.

Yes, in the sense that they demonstrate proficiency in a skill / subject. You may not give them any weight, but I'm sure you're aware that many employers do. Sometimes certs are preferred, sometimes they're required.
