For all the flaws in how Nintendo treats fans of their IP, the games they put out themselves are consistently fun. Mario Kart still feels like Mario Kart even decades later, and not in stagnating/bad way.

Generally for performance, the rule is you _measure_ it, you don't rely on big-O. So if you're really concerned, please just use a profiler. Also hashmaps (python Dicts) have amortized O(1) and not O(1) big-O.

I'm on the iPhone 13 pro max since launch and my phone comfortable gets through an entire day of usage. (Given my usage is pretty light). If the battery fubars in one of the next years I wouldn't be upset, 5+ years of battery life

Frequently when someone mentions Proton on HN the response is along the lines of what you just did. In the big scheme of things, I’d trust Proton more than Google and other big tech companies even if they aren’t perfect.
