I read your linked comment and I'm bummed out because I agree. The thing is that I LIKE writing code. It's fun. I don't LIKE coding with an LLM. It isn't fun. We can't go back to a place where the professional code

Depending on your needs. I'm not sure it's that cut and dry. For developer experience I don't find it very good. My System76 laptop provides a better experience. It is all pretty subjective though. Windows is the best option

Towards the end of it's dev cycle I think Snow Leopard got pretty good. I do think about this article though: https://www.rubenerd.au/the-myth-of-snow-leopard/ Obviously (to me anyway, maybe folk disagree) compari

It is hard to know for sure, there could be some advantages to more pathogenic exposure in terms of group immunity but it is challenging to study and the particular types of pathogens that get passed around would matter a lot too.

At what point is that the case? When a package is built, it's version is determined at that moment from whatever dynamic source, and is then written into the metadata in a static way (or surely could be if for some weird reason it isn&

He has said a lot f things I agree with, and also some stuff that seems intellectually and morally bananas; particularly around gender and sexuality. There was a point something shifted and he took, imo, a darker turn. Maybe it was his wife

That's a good solution using existing tools, but I usually want it solved in whatever programming language is being tested. Not because command line tools aren't often an underutilized solution but because I am looking for their t

One interview question I like that's simpler and more applicable is to code a function that outputs the frequency count of each word in a string of text. Bonus for outputting the count in most to least order.
