From what I've seen, there's actually two different levels of free tier. There's the one where you make an account and don't give them your payment info, and are on a free trial (availability of Ampere servers is severel

Actual title: "Dave's not here, man. But this mind-blowingly huge server just, like, arrived" This post's title leaves the word "huge" out, which breaks the readability.

It’s not Apple Silicon specific either. I don’t understand the title. Maybe it should have been “Apple’s virtualization API and VirtIO driver support on Apple Silucon”

They are removing the Xorg server, but not X entirely. They will continue to support X through Xwayland.

I just rode Cruise for the first time tonight. Within the first 5 minutes of the ride, the car got stuck in the middle of two different intersections. Both times it just sat there with its hazards on while someone remotely tried to unstuck

Keep in mind that M2 has lackluster support. Specifically the Mac Mini has no display output (either via HDMI or USB-C DisplayPort).

A word of warning on this. It uses a custom fork of LLVM/Clang/Rust which adds support for a new architecture. The tooling that sets up this environment has failed in obscure ways each time I’ve attempted to set up and build one o

I've used Quip at work for years, and it consistently has issues with losing changes during concurrent editing, attributing who made a change, and its search and organization are quite bad. Integrating Quip into Slack gives me one more

It's a Saturday, so the market isn't even open. Not sure where you're seeing a 17% drop. Regardless, It's trading at $150, and was trading at $130 on 6/15/22.

The Autopilot visualization is different than the FSD visualization, and the FSD UI shows significantly more detail. Go search YouTube for some FSD videos and you’ll see what it looks like.

What are the "Human guidelines" from Apple? Do you mean the Human Interface Guidelines (aka HIG)? From what I could see in the examples, this doesn't look very Apple-like.
