I don't think that open source should be above making us laugh every once in a while. You can look at this way instead: The focus is on good code, not nice logos which fits the Linux image well.

Adjusted for inflation they started at 59,03$bn. That's not startup levels of growth for obvious reasons but the growth is very real.
