   I think I'm one of the few people who actually developed a Lotus Notes application. It was well received at the time doing standard (template) letters!

   Completely derailed my career. Wrote a ZX-Spectrum game and refused to port it to MSX. The pay for the ZX game was a compiler so I doubt much would have come of it anyway.

   It's too big to do dev on IMHO, but what is fantastic is using a big screen as a second monitor. You can drag files over instead of closing them and have everything important open at the same time. It's God mode for code viewing.

   Definitely easier in C but you literally create your own language for each problem. Mind was blown. Try it!

   There's a lot more fragmentation than this suggests. I've worked at a hedge fund that had exactly one investor for example.
