The root cert aside and with all the other ssl deficiencies all browsers support it! Usability is imo the issue if more than a handful of people need to access the site. RFC6509 http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6509 shows

Not compatible with FOSS licensing? Sure that may be true for AGPL but BSD is the framework that grants patent rights under FOSS and is precisely the thing to mitigate copyright shortfalls. This is just the EU not being helpful. Again...

I would agree with NicoJuicy, but in the absence of detailed information it is fair to say that the expectation when starting out is even with repeat entrepreneurs almost always too optimistic. Reality kicks in and costs suddenly are higher
