I don't think it has much to do with the fact that it is lossless, but rather that it does not compress in a suitable way. In the scheme of things outlined by GGP. Whether such scheme implies lossy is a question that needs to be demons

The theory which was promoted in the 70s (whatever it was) was certainly vastly different from what's used nowadays. Thierry Coquand (who conceived the original theory behind Coq) was only 9yo. In 1970.

The only thing that it means is that the security team does not fully understand the code it maintain, and apparently the same can be said about the openssl team. As a user myself, I don't understand that code, but I rely on people who
